JAR task problems

JAR task problems

2005-06-23       - By Frank W. Zammetti

Hi all... I've been fighting with this for a couple of days now and it's
 killing me... I have the following task:

<target name="update_jar">
  <sleep seconds="5" />
  <echo message="my.tld" />
  <jar destfile="${src}/my.jar" basedir="${src}/META-INF" update="true"
includes="my.tld" />
  <echo message="my-other.tld" />
  <jar destfile="${src}/my.jar" basedir="${src}/META-INF" update="true"
includes="my-other.tld" />

I added the sleep because I read about the 2-second thing as far as
determing if a file has been updated.  It didn't help... what's
happening is simply that the two DTDs are not being added to the JAR.

I have verified that the TLDs are where they should be, and so is the
JAR, and the JAR isn't read-only or anything.  The strange thing is that
I don't seem to be getting any output from the JAR tasks, even with the
-v option...

     [echo] Updating JAR...
    [sleep] sleeping for 5000 milliseconds
     [echo] my.tld
     [echo] my-other.tld
     [echo] Done

Total time: 6 seconds

I would expect to see SOMETHING from them, no?  So what am I missing?  TIA!
